The majority of properties sold in Brighton over the past year were flat properties. The average price they sold for was £287,025. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £464,906 and semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £436,805.

Brighton, with an overall average price of £396,632, was found to be more expensive than nearby Preston (£327,363) and Withdean (£288,300), but cheaper than Kemp Town (£602,500).

In the past year sold property prices in Brighton were 14% higher when compared to the year before and 17% higher when compared to 2014 when average prices were £327,224.
